The Swiss composers Janos Mijnssen & Silvan Koch created their first feature film soundtrack, reflecting the strangeness and beauty of this enigmatic movie with their carefully crafted compositions, using seemingly familiar instruments and adding an element of unease and dissonance to them. They interweave strings, piano, spinet, celesta and voices with Gwisdeks mysterious imagery, creating a unique cinematographic fabric that leaves you both warm and shivering at the same time.

«The boy who owns the world» is the debut of german film maker Robert Gwisdek, winning the critics award for Best Direction at Hofer Filmtage 2023 and releasing in Cinemas in Germany on May 2nd 2024.
Basilio, portrayed by Swiss Musician Faber, lives in an empty Sicilian villa, where he is mentored by a mysterious old man to find true poetry. One day he meets the equally strange Karla and proposes to her within half an hour. Little does he know that she will unravel the world he has become accustomed to.
